Dr. Abdullahi Hassan feels passionate about improving lives and supporting every patient throughout their oral surgery journey.
About Dr. Hassan
Dr. Hassan is originally from Somalia. He was introduced to oral surgery at an early age and quickly fell in love with the unique specialty of the profession. He enjoyed its combination of dental and medical knowledge and being able to help others through these areas of expertise.
Dr. Hassan attended a fellowship that focused heavily on jaw surgery and wanted to join a practice where he could utilize his skills in orthognathic treatment and complex restorative cases. He enjoys supporting patients throughout their oral surgery journey and even remains available to his patients after treatment. A careful listener and compassionate provider, Dr. Hassan truly cares about every patient’s well being.
Education & Residency
Dr. Hassan earned a BS in biology and psychology from Houston Baptist University in 2010. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the College of Dentistry at Howard University in 2014 and his Medical Degree (MD) from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in 2017. After earning his DDS in 2014, he completed an oral and maxillofacial residency at Kings County Hospital Center. Dr. Hassan completed an advanced oral and maxillofacial surgery fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital in 2021, which focused heavily on orthognathic surgery, TMJ surgery, craniofacial surgery, facial trauma reconstruction, and dental implant surgery.
Hobbies and Interests
Dr. Hassan likes to spend his free time with family and friends. He enjoys playing basketball and traveling.
